The Liberty Bell Challenge

Make history in the city that defined American history!

If you love seeing the sights while running the distance, this is the challenge for you. Run the Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon on Saturday and come back for the AACR Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday.

You will run past historic Philly landmarks such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Art Museum. Completing the Half and Full Marathons will earn you the Liberty Bell Medal.

The Philadelphia Marathon Weekend Events are USATF sanctioned and course-certified.

Due to safety concerns, handcrank bikes are not permitted at any Philadelphia Marathon Weekend events.

AACR Philadelphia Marathon
November 23, 2025

In addition to the give-aways from each race, each finisher will receive the Liberty Bell Medal.

Please note: The start line will close after the last athlete in the last corral crosses the timing mat.

For the Liberty Bell Challenge - You MUST pick up your bib on Friday at the Health and Fitness Expo. There is NO PACKET PICKUP AT THE START LINE.

Fluid Stations will be set up at the race start and finish and throughout the length of the course.

Nuun Lemon Lime Endurance will be offered in blue & white cups, along with water.
