Expect beautiful views through Fairmount Park and along the Schuylkill River and neighborhood residents cheering in University City and Manayunk. Weave through the well-traveled streets of our historic district, passing sights familiar to Franklin, Washington and the rest of the gang, and end your race speeding towards the steps of the majestic Art Museum.

There are course check points at the 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K, 13.1 Miles, 25K, 30K and 40K marks, and fluid stations and spectator overlooks are set up throughout the course.

There is a special group of runners – known as “Legacy Runners” – who reflect the history, strength, and staying power of the AACR Philadelphia Marathon. Through grit and grace, these road warriors have been with our marathon every (or nearly every) step of the way, completing at least 15 Philadelphia Marathons over the past 30 years.

The Philadelphia Marathon first recognized Mark Sullivan and Bob Koen as charter legacy runners in 2008. Since then, the Legacy Runners Program has expanded by establishing tiers of participation beginning with 15-year participants and including runners who have completed 20 and 25 and now, 30, Philadelphia Marathons, either consecutive or cumulative. The highest distinction, Charter Membership, is reserved for those who have run every edition of the Philadelphia Marathon since 1994.

We recognize our Legacies who give true meaning to the word marathon!

We at the Philadelphia Marathon Weekend very much value the integrity of our results and work closely with the Boston Marathon on verifying qualifying athlete times. We do everything in our power to verify and get them correct. With that said, no system is perfect. Day of results are just that and any updating or adjusting is done post race, and held in our data base.

Results are unofficial until finalized.

If there are questions or issues, please contact [email protected]. Be sure to include your event, bib number, time, name, age and city.
