Philadelphia Marathon Weekend

November 19-21, 2021

Update to Philadelphia Marathon Weekend

(Updated: October 11, 2021)

The Philadelphia Marathon founding goal has always been the promotion of health and fitness amongst both the local Philadelphia community and our national and international participants.

To stay true to these goals given the current public health challenges, we will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for in-person participation in all 2021 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend events. We are also enhancing safety protocols and reducing overall race capacities.  We believe these changes will increase safety and protection for our devoted athletes.

As a result of the vaccination requirement, the Dunkin’ Munchkin Kid’s Run has been cancelled.  We encourage our future Dunkin’ Munchkins to continue running and hope to see them next year!

For The AACR Philadelphia Marathon, Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon and Rothman Orthopaedics 8K, we are offering runners the option to defer to 2022 or 2023, transfer to a virtual race or to receive a partial refund. Further details will be provided as soon as possible.
