The Course
Not up for a full marathon? No problem! The Philadelphia Marathon offers a Half Marathon event just for you. This 13.1 mile event was established in 2006 in response to increasing demand from die-hard runners and amateurs looking to get their feet wet, and runners in between who want a serious challenge, but don’t have the time to train for a full marathon.
With the addition of the Half Marathon, it’s even easier to get involved in the Philadelphia Marathon weekend! With more events than ever before, you can be sure to find something to suit your experience level and satisfy your competitive spirit.
All half-marathon runners will receive:
- A technical shirt
- A finisher medal
- Post-race refreshments
- A finisher certificate
Awards
The top five male and female finishers in each age group (listed below) will take home awards for their performance.

Cash prizes for the first five male and female finishers of the Half Marathon will be issued as follows:
