2025 Ambassador Program

It's time to amp up the excitement for our 7th Annual Philadelphia Marathon Weekend Ambassador Program – 2025 edition!

Since its inception in 2018, this program has been the heartbeat of the Philadelphia Marathon Weekend, connecting our race with the vibrant running communities from all over the United States (and the world!). With our Brand Ambassadors, we embrace diversity in appearances, backgrounds, languages, gender, race, identities, abilities, pace and distance, yet unite under one shared, unstoppable love for running. Each of our Ambassadors brings a unique, inspiring story to the starting line.

Prospective Ambassadors can qualify for this program through their varied geographic locations, commitment to staying active, and influential social media presence. They're our weekly storytellers, sharing their involvement with the Philadelphia Marathon Weekend while spreading their excitement to run with their followers.

And the perks are as exciting as Race Day-- We're talking training gear, exclusive Philadelphia Marathon Weekend MERCH, VIP access during Race Weekend, and more!

Criteria:

  • Must have either 3,000+ social media followers on Instagram, TikTok, X, or Facebook, OR show strong community engagement (run club leader, run coach, active podcast, etc.)
  • Must be willing to post and engage on social media on a weekly basis from June through November. (If you can’t commit to weekly posting and form submissions, this program may not be the right fit for you)
  • Must be registered for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 8K or Challenge by July 1st.
  • Social media profile(s) must be public and active (can be a personal brand, but no business or group profiles)
  • Must be willing to share contests, promotions, and announcements upon request (not more than twice per week).
  • Must familiarize yourself with the marathon website and social platforms to help answer questions if asked of your audience (of course we are here to help).
  • Must be able to use Google Docs and Google Drive to provide proof of posting and adhere to posting guidelines.
  • Must have a computer and be able to designate time for monthly video calls, limited to 45 mins per call, via zoom. Zooms will be held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:00pm & 7:30pm ET.
  • Must be willing to travel to Philadelphia on your own expense for race weekend (lodging, travel & meals).
  • No previous race experience required. All levels are welcome!

Note: All are welcome to apply and all applications are reviewed

In return:

  • Official marathon weekend merchandise, including two in-training SWAG items, custom designed Brand Ambassador jacket, gloves, hat, and shoes.
  • Invitation to the press conference, VIP packet, and access to your race(s) VIP tent on race weekend.
  • Race weekend VIP reception and meet & greet.
  • Dedicated time with professional running Ambassadors.
  • Social media mentions on all platforms.
  • Join an amazing community of fellow Ambassadors, past & present!
